If we believe in Christ and accept his cross, the horizon of eternity opens before us. Otherwise, we die. Our salvation comes through the cross, which brings us the gift of living with one another in coexistence and service. Men cannot free themselves from what enslaves them. Jesus frees us if we allow him to do so.
