The Diocese of Novo mesto received a new bishop, Msgr Dr Andrej Saje, originating from nearby Mirna Peč, the ancient parish of Novo mesto and my native parish of Soteska. The bishop's name at a mass will remain the same "forour Bishop Andrej". The appointment was expected after almost a three-year extension of my service. The diocese will come to life anew with new approaches, new emphases, and new energy with the new power. Of one heart and one soul. May God support and bless the Diocese of Novo mesto under the new leadership.
