Bishop Metod Pirih was born on May 9, 1936 in Lokovec. He was ordained a priest in 1963 and a bishop in 1987. Due to illness, he handed over the diocese to his successor in 2012 and moved to Dormitory in Vipava. He remained extremely lively and active for almost a decade. On March 23, 2021, he concluded his rich life and went to his Father.
