From Maundy Thursday to Divine Mercy Sunday, all Public Liturgy in Churches Cancelled

The Republic of Slovenia's Government has announced that from Holy Thursday, April 1, 2021, to Divine Mercy Sunday, April 11, 2021, all public liturgy is cancelled. 

At the government press conference, March 28, 2021, Minister of Culture Dr Vasko Simoniti announced a new decree in the exercise of religious freedom, according to which all religious buildings will be closed. He announced the cessation of public religious rites with the presence of the faithful. Only individual religious spiritual care for people in need is allowed. The Slovenian bishops will publish the new instructions after the publication of the said decree in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia. It should happen in the coming days.
