Dear Mr Maksimiljan,

On your appointment as pastor of the ancient and some years ago restored diocese of St. Maksimilijan in Celje, I would like to congratulate you sincerely. I am happy that the Holy Father has placed his trust in a priest who, in addition to a thorough theological education, is adorned with beautiful natural qualities and gospel chastity. The day of your appointment reminds me of March 5, when in 1997, I embarked on the path of episcopal ministry in Ljubljana. The reason more that I especially remember you in prayer.

May the Lord abundantly bless your pastoral mission in a demanding position he has appointed you to and stand by your side with his grace.
